If you don't have the ability to discern which pedal makes the nice little car go vroom vroom? You don't deserve a driver's license.
You also better not be anywhere near in front of me on the way home. I dealt with enough of you bastards on my way to work and at lunch.
(Vertical! On! The! Right!)
Thank you.

I was perhaps a bit overwrought ;)
I will say, though, that I have NEVER in recent memory been behind so many people who couldn't press the accelerator within a reasonable period of time after the light turned green. They've got two roads closed on my main tracks for my commute: one, I take to avoid the horrible road, and the other's detour is shuffling all the traffic to my normal path (which, again, I take to avoid traffic).
When a light is set to cycle "green" for only 20 seconds and there are six cars ahead of you, you would think you stood a reasonable chance of making it through the light. You would be WRONG. Because three of the cars ahead of you took at least five seconds to say, "Oh, gosh, GREEN! I should perhaps depress the gas pedal. Now which one is that...??"
ARRRRGH!!!
My pedal's on the left side.
Mind you, I don't have a right leg - LOL
Philip, well, that would do it!
Also, you're in England. Not sure if the pedals are placed differently there or not anyway. I guess they're the same as over here, which is why your accelerator being on the left is a point of interest :)
