Sucker, Part II

We went back to Repticon today, in large part because once the Gum Zombie had his snake yesterday nothing would do but to come straight home and get little Slither unpacked and into his habitat, so we missed probably at least 30% of the exhibits.

Today, someone else joined us on the journey home...

This is Sarah.  She's mine. She's a 3-month-old Dodoma out-cross, weighing in at 16 grams.  Kenyan sand boas are dimorphic, so Sarah will outweigh Slither by more than double by the time they're both adults.

Brent's sole comment?  "I live in a zoo."

Yes, yes you do sweetheart.  But no birds, I promise!

Oh, heck yes. Give me snakes over birds any day! Heck, give me terrifyingly oversized arachnids over birds...

Birds are loud, messy creatures. I have zero desire to own birds which is a good thing because my husband's further words of wisdom on Sunday morning were "Knock yourself out, baby. But no birds. I will not live with birds."

I won't do terrifyingly oversized arachnids either... *shudder*

Hehehehehe!! I get it, y'all, no worries :D

It's feeding day at the zoo today and actually I have a wee case of the heebie-jeebies myself. I've never fed snakes before. Should be interesting?

lol, I am totally a bird person..I have little statues of birds, bird pictures....etc. I think my husband finds it a little creepy. Sometimes, I do too...but that's okay. LOL. some people are snake people, some bird people.

LOL Christine! Yes, you're right. Fortunately there's room for both bird people and snake people :) And dog people and cat people (although I'm kind of both there, LOL).

To be honest, I like looking at birds just fine. I don't mind visiting birds. It's just the whole "living with them" thing that's out of the question here. If my husband weren't so against it and one of my boys desperately wanted one I believe I'd adjust, but Choreboy so rarely puts his foot down on anything that there are some issues on which I'm not even going to try to get him to budge.

Besides, he likes the snakes. :D
