... and I have I mentioned the food? Oh yeah.
I was nowhere near saintly over the holidays. In fact, I came close to declaring a free-for-all between the Gum Zombie's birthday on December 18th through January 2nd, which was the Sunday night prior to returning to work. It was glorious, and I was bloated as hell.
So, entirely reasonably, I refused to get on the scale. Until tonight that is. What spurred me on, you might ask? My hipbones. They finally re-emerged from the water retention wonderland that was my gut, so I figured it was approaching safe.
It wasn't the "official" scale, and it wasn't the "official" time, but the scale said 146-ish. I'll take it. Considering the enjoyment over the holidays, I'll absolutely take it.
As for the rest? I'm done. Pooped out. Resting. I realize that before I know it, the 2011 holiday season will be upon us; but until then, I'll let The Divine Miss M give my current holiday thoughts:

M's parents (my sister and brother-in-law) are awesome amateur photographers -- they did the pics for my wedding even :) It pays to have someone with a good eye in the family!!

I feel the same way you do - glad in some ways that the holidays are over. I also just started Weight Watchers and am sticking to it pretty well now that they have the new PointsPlus system and I can actually achieve the number of points they allot me instead of going over by 10 points every day!
