Checking In

Yes folks, I'm alive.

The cats are also alive.

The boys? Also alive.

Holiday madness has descended upon us. I'm staring Christmas shopping dead in the eye. I plan to accomplish it during assorted lunch hours capped off by one final, huge weekend spree.

Take no prisoners. That's my motto.

No, I don't like shopping. At all. Well, except if it's at a bookstore, then I can make even the clerks' eyes bug out. Hee.

We're gearing up to get the Christmas tree. I was planning to go this weekend, but I got into a fit of cleaning and would really like this place to look like *I* want it to look, rather than what it became over the final few months of my marriage.

Peace is good. I'm a fan.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all :)

Now that you don't have to buy a gift for a husband, you should consider making a habit of giving yourself a Christmas gift every year. Perfect opportunity to take up some new hobby you've maybe been wanting to get around to...or that new whatever you've had your eye on but always had to put something/somebody else ahead of that...a day at the spa, something. 'Cause you deserve it. ;)

New Girl, now that's an idea! I've actually got a few things in mind. We'll see what I come up with :)

And Scott, I'm an equal-opportunity book purchaser, LOL. I hit the big-box evil retailers, and the local booksellers. There's this one INCREDIBLE shop over in St. Petersburg (if they're still there -- it's been years) called Haslams. HUGE place, both new and used books. Love it!

My TBR (to be read) pile is ridiculous, but I keep adding to it. Because, you know, the books might LEAVE if you don't buy them.

I'm a nut. I'm well aware ;)
