Things I Can Do in a Kid-Free House

1 - Stay up ridiculously late blogging.

2 - Practice the piano at an ungodly hour of the night.

3 - Realize that after 1:00 a.m.? My playing sucks more than usual. And that likely my fingernails are a bit long.

And how did you manage to score a kid-free night? I'm so jealous!

Woohoo on the piano playing! I'd be right there with you, if I hadn't mucked up my hands knitting so much LOL

I don't have to worry about my nails. Pain+stress=very bad habit that I must break again.

hehehe... AYC, well, the whole visitation thing :) Very strange... but a good night overall, and apparently the kids had a good time at their father's.

BB's Mom, doing my best on the new post thing! Sometimes there are several in a day. Depends on when I get on a roll :)

Angel, ROFL! Shoot, girl, I'd say more but we spent nearly two hours yakking at each other last night anyway :)

Ohh, the visitation thing. I would go into a mini depression after my kids would leave, early on in my divorce/separation. It was too quiet in my house, and the separation was too raw on my soul - even thought *I* left him. I would mope around, listening to loud music, drink some wine, flirt online for validation, etc. It's not a time I'd like to revisit.

Now - after healing from my divorce, quiet time is a RARITY!!!! (not to mention, I have the youngest child here with me 24/7, unless I can manage to pawn her off onto her grandparents)

I actually love the sound of fingernails on the ivories...reminds me of my mother and her very well manicured fingers(an actual fond memory)
