An Open Letter to the Person Who Pours the Coffee at Dunkin Donuts

Dear Person Who Poured My Coffee This Morning at Dunkin Donuts,

One extra large coffee, black.

This is not a difficult order. You grab the cup, dump in some coffee, put on the lid, and poof, you're done!

Things you do not do would include a) add cream, or b) add sugar.

If I wanted these items, I would not have ordered my coffee, say, black.

My order really makes your job much easier. Just give me the damned black coffee next time, okay?

Undercaffeinatedly yours,
Amanda

It's so hard to get good help these days. Life would be so much simpler if you could just, like, click on a coffee pot and have it display a menu for you to choose exactly which hot drink you want.

Tycho, yeah... well, darn that real life anyway with its lack of pie menus :)

I love DD's coffee, especially the raspberry flavored.

Small size, cream, sugar, and TO GO!

That gal probably poured over 1000 coffes that day (not embellishing here). Want to bet the person behind or in front of you got the black? A mistake, no doubt, and the customer should get what she pays for. Still, it isn't as cut and dry as itm might seem.

Also, helps if you aren't talking on your cell phone when you order. You might (or might not) be surprised at how often people do this. It's even more fun when they forget what they ordered, taste their coffee and come back to complain that "No! I ordered franch vanilla, not regular!" when in fact they said "large regular" while carrying on a different conversation and not even looking at the counter.
