Happy 4th of July!

It's been so quiet around here (hello, comments?? LOL)... you'd think it was a holiday or something.

Happy Fourth of July, y'all. I may have my issues with our government... I don't go there here, but in real life I do tend to whine endlessly about Dubbya. And it's not just him, as I wasn't overly fond of Clinton either. I'm an equal party whiner.

Regardless, I love this country. God bless the USA.

Now let's see if we can do a little more of "government of the people, by the people, and for the people," instead of "of the asshats, by the asshats, and for the asshats."

Amen.

I must give you props for the excellent use of the word asshat in a blog post.

Asshat. I repeat...asshat.

Happy 4th. July 01 is "Canada Day." I didn't blog about it because I don't give a shit.

Don't get me wrong. I love Canada as much (or maybe more) than the next Canadian but I don't even know how many Canadian readers I have. The majority seem to be from the UK first and the US second. So in that respect, would anyone give a grand whoop-de-doo about our National Holiday?

I doubt it.

And no, I didn't do anything except repeatedly have my startle response triggered by people setting off bloody firecrackers while I sat inside basically futzing around on my computer.

Maybe I should post exactly something to this respect as it might be entertaining--along with my last response about my brain leaking from my head. It will be repetitive for you but give my itchy fingers something to do.

Awesome Mom, thanks, LOL. In spite of my "R" rating, I really do try not to use gratuitous cursing on my blog... but sometimes the situation just calls for it.

And PA, happy belated Canada Day, even though you don't give a shit ;) I have a good friend from high school who lives in Canada (I think she's a resident alien or whatever Canada's status is for non-Canadian-person-married-to-Canadian is) somewhere in the Vancouver B.C. area.

Fireworks only piss me off when I have a baby in the house. Babies don't like fireworks (or at least the noises), I've found. Now that the kids are older, it's no biggie.

And post away! Which you already have done, as I'm ridiculously late in responding to your comment. Great work, by the way :) And really, actually educational. Limited on the repetition. Good show!
